Miniature HD Satellite Receiver is powered by Openbox. In contrast to the model Openbox S2 Mini + is built on a modern dual-core processor ALi3511 and supports various interactive network services - Web TV and DLNA.
Satellite set-top box for the TV Openbox S3 Mini HD is equipped with modern standard selector DVB-S / S2, which supports the reception of video compression MPEG2 / MPEG4, H.264 HDTV. Tuner also allows you to operate external devices via antenna protocols: DiSEqC 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and USALS. The receiver is based on the dual-core processor with a clock speed ALi3511 600 MHz, as well as equipped with 1024 Mb of RAM DDR3 memory and 64 Mb of ROM memory.
Receiver Openbox S3 Mini HD is equipped with universal card reader such as MCAS, which according to the manufacturer should provide support for card access encoding: Conax, Videoguard, Drecrypt, Viaccess, Cryptoworks, Mediaguard, Irdeto, Xcrypto and Dreamcrypt. Moreover, be aware that support for encoding Drecrypt will be realized only at the level of 2.0, ie, You can only open channels of transponders DVB-S MPEG-2 encoding and Viaccess will support only the MPEG-2 card. Also, the receiver with a card inserted access can act as a server to connect other receivers - customers.
Satellite Receiver Openbox S3 Mini HD supports the connection of external USB storage media that allow to record two channels simultaneously with a transponder or use timeshifting programs - TimeShift, for it is given up to 120 minutes. In addition, the receiver is present built-in media player that supports playback of files from external USB drives in formats, precision and high bit rate: DVR, MPEG2, MPEG4, XViD, DiVX, AVI, MKV, JPEG / JPG and MP3.
Set-top box satellite signal Openbox S3 Mini HD is equipped with a built-in Ethernet (Lan) port, and further supports the connection to wireless networks through a USB Wi-Fi adapter Openbox Air, which is purchased separately. Also, the manufacturer promises will soon support and 3G modems. It allows viewing of encrypted channels through Cardsharing where it is not prohibited.
